The expected version of the product was not found on the system

Hi,

I was trying to install the WSS Cumulative Update on my MOSS 2007 plateform but i've got the message "the expected version of the product was not found on the system".

To resolve this problem i lainched the CU package without checking the version of SharePoin. To do this :
 * Open CMD
 * Execute the commande : <package-file>.exe PACKAGE.BYPASS.DETECTION.CHECK=1

However that triggers the event receiver a new time and you can imagine the infinate loop.
